About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To laugh, live and love with new friends and travel more!

ABOUT ME

I am optimistic and open-minded with a big heart! I appreciate my friends and spend much time with them. I like to look out for people and help the less fortunate, and I love hosting dinner parties where I can be a good host. I guess you could say I'm a people-pleaser, but not in a bad way. I like to keep myself busy all the time, whether it be work, play, education or traveling! I get along well with others of almost any background, and I tend to joke around a lot since laughter is the best medicine, and who doesn't like laughing? I smile a lot!

PHILOSOPHY

"The most wasted of all days is a day without laughter."
-e.e. Cummings

Not all who wander are lost...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to host CS's more often and help be your Santa Cruz connection!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have surfed far and wide... many good times and new friends.

Interests

Six years ago I founded an outdoor education and recreation organization in Santa Cruz County. We host activities in the Sierra Nevada mountains and Central Coast area such as beach volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, Kayaking and Ski/Snowboarding, and teach lessons in surfing, scuba diving, rock climbing and more.
There is so much more I could mention here, but I'd rather save it for another time.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to count right now!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Whitewater rafting down the Deschutes river in Oregon when I was 14 & 16 years old. They let me ride huge rapids while STANDING (holding a "rope" [a string, really]) on the front of the raft Amazing and thrilling!

Scuba diving inside the crumbled caldera of a sunken volcano in Hawaii. Unforgettable!

Live-aboard sailing/scuba diving trip for a week traveling from island to island in the Bahamas. My first time ever diving at night and diving with sharks (no cage!) Breathtaking, and life-changing!

Backpacking through Europe without knowing ANY foreign languages for 5 weeks, when I was only 18. Eye-opening and humbling experience! Can't wait to go back!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a little about a lot of things! But I'm probably best at teaching survival in the wild, learning a new sport or how to make the best dang cup of coffee you've ever had!

I'm always open to learn something.
