Hey I'm back on Couchsurfing after a long break!

My name is Sage I am 30, keen on hiking missions, cold swims, nature photography, and all of the things nature and mountain related.

New Zealand Feb 2023. One way ticket!
I lived in New Zealand pre Covid and miss it SO MUCH! So keen to get my butt back over there and hike to my hearts content!
I will travel solo, do a bunch of house sitting on Aussie House Sitters, some volunteering for Doc (hut wardening Blue Lake, Travers-Sabine, hopefully Mueller and Copland too), and some stints with Workaway farms before being joined (hopefully) by my partner, Owen.
I love the outdoors.
Friendly strangers.
Hiking/Bush walking.
Good organic food as often as I can get it.
I love farmers markets.
I have been growing heaps of organic produce and also raising chooks and ducks for eggs and meat on a family farm of 20 acres I was living at during Covid - so basically becoming the queen of homesteading.

I've been to Thailand, Bali, New Zealand (my home away from home), Tonga, Cocos Island, Christmas Island, etc.

My most memorable trip was my 2 or so months backpacking and staying with/hanging with only locals in the Philippines in many Islands in the region.
I did a Permaculture Aid Course in Palawan with one of my mother's friends who ran Permaculture Aid and Permaculture Design courses with a group called Green Warriors.

Learning to hunt would be AMAZING.
If you want me to stay longer and help with jobs,
or want to take me on a hiking adventure I am totally down for that too!
I'm a good little housekeeper, I'm super clean.
Owen is a handyman and can help with any jobs you need doing. (If he comes)

A group of travellers and I had the Island from the the movie "The Beach" Maya Bay, in the Phi Phi islands all to ourselves one night..
We drank under the stars, with lightning storms all around us out to sea but clear skies above and around the Island! It was so amazing.
We all went swimming under an almost full moon splashing around in glowing phosphorescence, like from the movie 'The Beach' (and possibly swimming with many sharks too) But it was amazing and we didn't care!
I also have many amazing hiking stories to share too from NZ.
