About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Getting my masters & figure out which adventure is next!
ABOUT ME
I'm pretty small, so you probably hear me before you see me. I'm quite extroverted and I laugh a lot, until my stomach hurts and the tears are pouring down my face.
I love travelling more than anything, so even when I'm not on the road I'd like to experience that thrill of meeting lots of different, interesting people from other countries and cultures. That's why I decided to study abroad in a big city, where there's constantly a multicultural vibe.
Besides travelling, I love football, though I can't play anymore due to a stupid, permanent injury. Now I'm into fitness and a little bit of running.
I really love any activity in which I can use my creativity and discover new things, such as writing & filming, cooking new recipes, decorating, and I like discussing/debating about a lot of different topics. I'm open minded and I always want to learn more or hear about different viewpoints. I have been told I talk a lot, which I guess is true. But I also like to listen to other people and learn from them.
PHILSOPHY
One philosophy that that I really identify with is reflected in this quote by Nelson Mandela: "No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite."
I think everybody has their own reality and they're entitled to have and share them, and should be encouraged to do so - it's what makes it worth meeting new people, it's what makes the world interesting. But these realities can clash, so it's important to realise that nobody's reality is absolute or superior. I really admire this man and his ideas and I also dream of winning a Nobel peace prize one day :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
unfortunately I live in a tiny studio with zero privacy so it's hard for me to host. However, I'm looking to move in a few months so then hopefully I can! Otherwise I'm always happy to meet people - locals or travellers - and enjoy the CS spirit together :D

Music, Movies, and Books
My all time favourite is the Lion King. (disney classics in general are always good!). I like action movies, comedy, drama, thrillers.
I'm a Harry Potter fan: I've read the books countless times, some of them have actually started to fall apart. I read just about anything though. Most recently I read the Greek myths Illios and Oddyseus.
I like music in general, and any type of music will do. I like to sing along to pop music, but I like to sit in the sun with a slow, relaxed (reggae) song on the background. When I study, I listen to instrumental music, when I'm doing sports or going out, anything rhythmic, up-tempo will do. I love Rihanna, DJ Tiesto, Eminem, the Beatles,Bob Marley, Jack Johnson and Shakira, and many more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In countries way more beautiful and less crowded than the Netherlands, I've seen the most beautiful night skies, swam with wild dolphins, flew an aeroplane, rode an elephant, and saw the way water turns different directions north vs. south of the equator. I've been very lucky with the journey's I was able to make so far and the people I met. One thing I REALLY want to see is how the sun doesn't set all night in summer in the Northern parts of the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to find someone to practice my Spanish with! In return I can help with Dutch or English, or show you around Brussels! I also love music and singing. I don't play an instrument nor do I really sing for real, but just jamming a little, not too seriously, would be great!
