About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore Auckland and the surrounding area!
ABOUT ME
Hello!
I enjoy art and sharing travel stories. I am excited to see the many different ways people live. I'm friendly, and driven, and I love to travel and go on adventures! Some of my interests are: trekking, art, music, reading, exploring lesser known places, and singing. Look forward to meeting you!
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy changes often, but I think the current one is just to be grateful and to care for people. I have found a lot to be thankful for in my travels. I think its important to notice these things even when they're small, just like hearing a great song in a car when I'm hitchhiking, or waking up to sunshine, or having a really interesting conversation with a stranger.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far I have primarily given people advice for outdoor activities and unknown walks in my area. I am currently a traveler so I have no accommodation to offer, but when I return to North Carolina I will be open to help people find places to stay. My own living quarters are too small to have guests!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never couch surfed before, but I am excited to start!

Art, zoology, constellations, books, languages, folktales, music, gardening, farming, and adventure!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Nick Drake, Frank Zappa, Harry Partch, Carl Orff, Joan Jett, Heart, Kurt Vile... but I always want to LEARN MORE
Books: Moby Dick, Still Life with Woodpecker, 9 Stories, Breakfast of Champions, East of Eden
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was little, my parents owned a few horses. One of the mares got pregnant, and gave birth on my brother's birthday. I watched the birth, early in the morning while the sun was coming up. It was pretty amazing to watch the colt stand almost immediately after birth.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach people how to sing, and I cam also teach Contra dancing, the traditional line dancing done in the Appalachian mountains of the United States. Also I can show people drawing techniques. I love learning so I will probably be interested in whatever you have to share as well! Last but not least I have a few obscure fact tucked up my sleeve that I share from time to time.
