I spent over a decade living and working on historic sailing vessels in the summer and traveling throughout the Americas in the winter. During COVID I returned to my home state of Maine to finally go back to school and graduated in the spring of 2025 with a double major in Studio Art and English!

During my first semester I met my partner, Levi, who was finishing his masters degree for nursing. Prior to that he spent time in Germany and Austria where he was earning a masters degree in history. He currently works at a local clinic as a mental health care provider, but his real job is tending to our small-ish heritage apple orchard. In addition to our orchard, we've also acquired a small flock of very social and jaunty Ancona chickens.

Since all the craziness of school and starting a new career has finally settled, both Levi and I are finally able to start enjoying our lives and look forward to traveling together and sharing our home with others!

But the most important thing to know about me is that I am a very proud cat lady with three wonderful purr-babies: Irma, Robert, and Muriel.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I joined couch surfing almost two decades ago when I was first planning on backpacking Peru. I've stayed on Couch Surfing because of the incredible people and communities I met through this space. Couch Surfing was truly one of the highlights of my life pre-Covid and I still have friends I've stayed in touch with who were once either my hosts or my surfers.

I am super excited I can now share this experience with my partner after telling him so many stories. Over the next two years (2025 and 2026) we hope to not only travel, but host as well. I personally will be traveling quite a bit to Canada where I am looking at grad programs for Canadian literary studies. Both Levi and I are also learning French and would love to have opportunities to practice!

My comfort movies are Moulin Rouge, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Great Gatsby, March of the Penguins, and American Astronaut. I've been told these should not be considered comfort movies and that is probably true.

Currently Levi and I have both been enjoying all things Drag Race, Great British Baking, and Letterkenney.

I'm a really great cook and a lifelong vegetarian and would love to teach how to make veggies delicious, learn about your local cuisine, and share meals together!

I am Polish-American and really love to share parts about my culture and heritage with others. I can teach you how to write pisanki - our special decorated eggs - and make pierogis and chrusciki! If you are also Polish, I would love to learn some of the language!

Levi is passionate about all things Maine history, apples, and farming. He would love to share his orchard and learn French!
