ABOUT ME

I’m out there to explore and experience life. It’s all a big mystery. Sometimes painful, sometimes joyful. I want to find my boundaries, soften them, cross them, keep humour and compassion in mind. It doesn’t always work but I’m getting better at it – or so I hope. I want to keep exploring different modes of living, different ways of looking at life, to be a teacher and a student.

PHILOSOPHY

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I’ve only had one CouchSurfing experience so far and it was mediated via a friend – so not officially via the website. It was in Brooklyn, New York. I loved the chance to live locally and have met some really cool people in this time.

兴趣

I spend a lot of time playing the guitar. I got hooked on it at the beginning of 2011. Since then, hardly a day passes without knocking about on it. I’m not all that great but I love the learning and seeing the progress. I like meeting my friends, philosophizing over a cuppa tea, read a good book, taking photgraphs or get side-tracked researching things on the web. I work as a freelance translator/interviewer for some market research companies in London. That’s how I pay the bills anyway. It’s not a passion but I have the flexibility to work as much as I want/need and to travel or dedicate time to other things.

I’ve worked as a sound recordist on a small independent micro-budget movie in Bolivia, have taught English in a Buddhist monastery in Nepal, was assigned photographer for a research project of camel milk production in Mongolia.
