CURRENT MISSION

I am a PADI dive instructor and guide who is looking for divers who want to stay for free, pay for the diving and be treated like family and included in everything while you're here.

ABOUT ME

I got married to SoYoung "Carey" on Valentines Day 2014. She is from Korea and we hit it off immediately. She is also an avid diver and a dive instructor. She is the Sales and Marketing Manager for DFS. You will have a great time getting to know her as well.

I am a PADI MSDT scuba instructor, who has also gotten into underwater photography. I was in radio for 28 years managing and doing morning talk shows and political commentaries. I finally decided in May of 2009, that it was time to give up radio and become a full time dive instructor and guide. I've had my nudibranch pictures published in 2 different books, and more on the way. If you want to dive the beautiful waters around Saipan, I'm your guy! I've done over 500 certifications in the past 6 years, and can get anybody comfortable underwater if they will work with me. I've had a couple couch surfers now who have come to stay with me and think that they can just dive for free with me while they stay here. Diving is how I make my living, please respect that and be ready and willing to pay for the diving if you do it while you're here. If you aren't willing to pay for your dives, that means I can't afford to host couch surfers, which would be a real shame. At this point I have over 13,000 dives under my belt and I'm adding to that number daily.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in treating everyone like they are family or a very close friend until they show me they don't belong in that category.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've had many couchsurfers stay with us in the past 9 years and it's been a very cool experience. I find that some of the people become a part of your family and just fit right in. Others you may not have much in common with, but it is also very cool just seeing what you can learn from them and see how it changes your world view.

Since I was in radio for 28 years, I have very widely ranging tastes in music, everything from Christiana Aguillera to Frank Sinatra. Some of my favorites though are Michael Buble, Maroon 5, Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, America and Billy Joel.
