Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Saiwan, a 32-year-old civil engineer, who loves to travel, connect with people from different cultures, and share stories over good food or coffee. I'm curious, open-minded, and always eager to learn something new—whether it’s a language, a local tradition, or just a different perspective on life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe travel is more meaningful when you connect with real people, not just tourist spots. Hotels can be comfortable, but they don’t offer the same experience as sharing a home, a meal, or a conversation with someone who lives there.
I enjoy learning about local cultures, daily life, and personal stories—things you can’t find in guidebooks. Couchsurfing helps me meet open-minded people from around the world, and I love the idea of exchanging cultures, kindness, and memories.
Whether I’m hosting or surfing, I want to make new friends, share experiences, and keep discovering the world through human connection.
Interests
I'm passionate about traveling and exploring new cultures—especially walking through old streets, discovering local food, and learning how people live in different parts of the world. I love deep conversations, photography, and listening to all kinds of music (from traditional sounds to chill modern vibes).
I'm also interested in architecture and city design (comes with being a civil engineer!), and I enjoy learning languages—right now I’m working on improving my English. I like meeting people who are open-minded, kind, and curious about the world.
In my free time, I enjoy relaxing with good company, watching movies, and planning future adventures—even if they’re just dreams for now.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy music that touches the soul—whether it’s traditional Kurdish songs, calm instrumental music, or something emotional in English or Turkish. I love discovering new sounds from different cultures.
When it comes to movies, I like ones that stay in your mind after watching—romantic dramas, travel stories, and anything with deep meaning. I also enjoy light comedies when I need to relax.
I don’t read as much as I’d like to, but I’m always interested in books that inspire or teach something real—especially about life, self-growth, or travel
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching the sunrise over the rooftops of Prague while the whole city was still asleep—it felt like time stopped for a moment. The silence, the golden light, and the beauty of the old buildings made me feel deeply connected to the world. It’s a simple memory, but one I’ll never forget.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share stories from my travels and daily life. I’d love to share traditional music or even help you practice English if you're learning too.
I’m always open to learning—especially about local traditions, languages, food, and how people live around the world. I enjoy deep conversations where I can learn new ideas and different ways of thinking.
What I love most is sharing time, laughter, and real human connection. Whether it’s a meal, a walk, or just a good talk—these are the things that stay with me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer good company, positive energy, and respect for your home and space. I’m clean, quiet, and always grateful for any hospitality. I enjoy having deep conversations, sharing stories from my culture and travels, and I’m always happy to listen and learn.
If you’re interested, I can cook something simple from my country, help with small tasks, or just be someone to share a nice walk or coffee with. I believe hosting is a kind and generous act, and I’ll always do my best to give back through kindness and connection.
