About Me

I was born and raised in San Diego, California, however my parents are from Southern Iraq, a city called UR, on the banks of the Euphrates River. I have been traveling for the past 5 months. I'm now in Turkiye.

In my free time, I'm usually hiking, camping, cooking healthy meals, and reading books. Before travelling, I was also practicing Hot Yoga.

I get along really well with genuine and compassionate people who have an open mind and an open heart.

The world is very big, but also very small. I'm more into immersing myself in the local culture and daily life of the societies I visit, as opposed to sight seeing and tourism. I believe this way, I'll have a deeper understanding of the culture and societies way of thinking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to consider myself a traveler and not a tourist, so I want to immerse myself in the local culture of each place I visit by staying, learning, and experiencing life as a local, from a local.
