About Me
CURRENT MISSION
There is a complicated answer and a simple one. The simple is: Learn as much as I can from others. It's the best kind of learning by doing.
Ask me all about the complicated answer when we meet!
ABOUT ME
I am an easy going guy, like to look for people to talk to and learn from. I love traveling but realized the real way to get to know a culture and place is to move there. Every time I decided to move abroad, it ended up thoroughly influencing my life.
But as you can only live in so many places in a lifetime, travel still is the perfect way to quench that thirst. I mainly love the feeling of total liberty: deciding every day just what you want to do. It makes me a better person when everyday pressure goes away.
Anyway, I love meeting new people. Especially if they can show me a side of life I don't know yet. I am generally pretty relaxed and like to laugh. If you want to know anything else, don't hesitate to ask.
PHILOSOPHY
If you really want something, just go for it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Every experience was a good one, with a special mention for Memphis! In fact, it is only in the US at the end of 2014 that I started to surf couches properly (however not quite as often as I would like). Hopefully I can also start hosting once I settle into my new place!
Interests
Nature, culture(s), traveling, meeting new people, new experiences, ...

Music, Movies, and Books
Into the wild (cliché, I know, but only just read it), Congo - A History, Het uur van de Rebellen, Lion Story, Alt-J, Burning Spear, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Salif Keita, Arcade Fire, Gael Faye, Peter Tosh, Woodkid, The Black Keys, endless etcetera!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Starting to understand other people's (ways of) lives has no doubt always been the most enriching.
Teach, Learn, Share
Everything! But more specifically, how to let go and let yourself be influenced by other cultures. And a wildly varrying range of topics depending on the time of day.
