À propos de moi

Hello :) I'm a philosophy student but have also studied politics and have an interest in linguistics. I dont know how to discriminate my passions so Im slightly good at a handful of things. I like to draw, I sometimes play my saxophone, Im getting better at German and can kind of understand Malay, I can shuffle a deck of cards, I write alright, and like to think I kick ass at most video games

Aside from that, I reckon I'm a cool cat to hang with - good humoured and flexible, bright eyed and keen to discover all the idiosyncrasies that people have to offer. I want to immerse myself into some crazy adventures, so if you have any, throw them my way

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

The couch surfing community is damn alluring - everyone here seems so generous and enthused to meet people from all around the world. I am endlessly interested in the grittier parts of life. I love seeing people open up about their passions as well as their regrets, and what lessons they've drawn from these. I think that couch surfing is a great way of enveloping yourself in a stranger's life, even if just for a night. It would make me so happy to get better at speaking German, so please speak at me if your heart so desires!

Centres d'intérêt

I'm a vegetarian and love to cook, I like nights in where we can all share good food, drink and stories, maybe play some cards,
I'm also always keen for an adventure or party and love to go to watch a gig or comedy
I ride my bike everywhere, and rock climbing has recently taken my fancy but I'm a total novice so please show me the ropes if youre keen!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Music
An avid fan of old school hip hop and jazz, but I listen to all kinds of music
~D'angelo, Jethro Tull, Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock, Jeff Buckley, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Chet Baker, Caravan, MF Doom, Lauryn Hill, Jeff Mills and so on

I often read philosophy - Derrida, Nietzsche, Lyoyd and Russell - but hope to read much more
As for fiction, some of my favourites would have to be Arcadia (Stoppard), Catch 22 (Heller) and the books that Ive read by Herman Hesse

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Rode on the back of a motorbike through thick fog in the mountains of Sapa, Vietnam. One day we were hailed down by some village ladies who took us back to their homes

Climbed to the top of a 17 metre tree in Freiburg, Germany with the help of ropes and some friends so that we could watch the sunset over the Black Forest

Heard about the El Camino de Santiago from a friend I made in Spain so spontaneously spent a week journeying from Leon to Sarria, also met an amazing man who lent me his bike so I could coast down the steep high roads, most fun I've ever had on a bicycle

Hiked through fresh snow at the foot of the Himalayas in Northern India, staying in a small mountain town blanketed in snow, with monkeys and dogs playing together, was a total dream

Pays que j'ai visités

Czech Republic, England, Germany, Hungary, Malaysia, Scotland, Serbia, Turkey, Viet Nam

Pays dans lesquels j'ai vécu

Australia, Singapore
