I am Saksham Rai, Recently turned 20 and still feeling it's heaviness in my bones! I am a native of Bhopal, MP. I like solo traveling to the newer places that feel like a home I have always been searching for, and, frankly, still searching.
Still quite naíve to know the world, but a sage to feel it- a paradox I have been carrying with myself throughout. I live in Bhopal with my parents, Grandparents and a younger brother, I am pursuing Bcom from a local university here, and exploring the lenses that provide me the sight of the world- only like the bible would mention it. Kanha is my brother, Not the name of my brother, I am talking about Kanhaji! He and I, we both walk the same path towards exploring, he acts as the one who came before and keeps trying to make me believe that I too have come before, and the heart just goes on.
I am completely philosophy and poetry coded and love talking deep about things which surprisingly unsettles gut- Space, God, Peace, Home!... And, that's certainly not a fantasy, but, again a triumph towards making a family.
Well! The metaphors and superlative ornamentation are a thing about me, but still, my authenticity would never stay in the veil, Rather, that's the first thing that comes up before any syntax or grammar.
I am selectively extrovert, since I am a public speaker. But the introversion is more introspecting than anything superficial, that sometimes misaligns me with the route the world takes, but still, I find my way somehow to make them believe I relate to their soul, more than the class and functionalities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I have mentioned earlier, I am solo traveler who is accompanied only with Kanha behind me. I not only go to foreign places in search of home but to give them a home.
I observe subtle emotions and make poetries, Hence I want to meet people, live with them, so that they can redial a friend with whom they haven't talked in a while, or to remember a girl in their 10th standard who smelled like rain to them. Well, I make poetries, not only on paper with words, but on hearts etching the forgotten pieces.

Interests

Honestly, they are all not only my interests, but a version of me that fuels me to live yet another day in a life which even though I don't fully understand, but keeps working through them to know better.
These are interests that make me, not me who possess them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have organised summer camps for kids in Bhopal! I have taught them art, Public speaking and personality development. The kids are still in contact with me and the parent's feedback of being as simple yet teaching as deep, those comment still echoes in my ears and soul.

Well, If you ever need a poet in your living room and make the place rangmanch, where all the poems about your High school crushes and emotions on friends that were lost in nostalgia shows up again, I would thank you more than allowing me to stay with you, but, allowing your poet to stay with you. Trust me, life sometimes need stillness and reflection before it can interpret future anymore, It feeds on memories, let's build a museum of them.
