O mnie

ABOUT ME

Hey, this is my homepage, so I have to say something about myself. Sometimes it is hard to introduce yourself because you know yourself so well that you do not know where to start with. Let me give a try to see what kind of image you have about me through my self-description. I hope that my impression about myself and your impression about me are not so different. Here it goes.

I am a person who is positive about every aspect of life. There are many things I like to do, to see, and to experience. I like to read, I like to write; I like to think, I like to dream; I like to talk, I like to listen. I like to see the sunrise in the morning, I like to see the moonlight at night; I like to feel the music flowing on my face, I like to smell the wind coming from the ocean. I like to look at the clouds in the sky with a blank mind, I like to do thought experiment when I cannot sleep in the middle of the night. I like flowers in spring, rain in summer, leaves in autumn, and snow in winter. I like to sleep early, I like to get up late; I like to be alone, I like to be surrounded by people. I like country’s peace, I like metropolis’ noise; I like the beautiful west lake in Hangzhou, I like the flat cornfield in Champaign. I like delicious food and comfortable shoes; I like good books and romantic movies. I like the land and the nature, I like people. And, I like to laugh.

I always wanted to be a great writer, like Victor Hugo who wrote "Les Miserable", or like Roman Roland who wrote "John Christopher". They have influenced millions of people through their books. I also wanted to be a great psychologist, like William James or Sigmund Freud, who could read people’s mind. Of course, I am nowhere close to these people, yet. I am just someone who does some teaching, some research, and some writing. But my dream is still alive.

This is a brief introduction of myself. If you are interested in knowing more, read my articles or take a look at my pictures. Do not expect too much, and keep your sense of humor.

PHILOSOPHY

If someone asked you to explain your philosophy of teaching, what would you say? How would you begin to formulate a succinct statement that captures the essence of what you believe about teaching and learning? Whether you can articulate it or not, you have a rationale for your pedagogy, your methods of teaching children (Athey, 1990).

A teaching philosophy is a statement of beliefs that guides actions. Your personal or professional philosophy statement must communicate your beliefs about how children learn and grow, explain your view of the the teacher's role, and emphasize what you believe to be the most important for children to know, do, understand, and appreciate.

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Being online for the best part of my day makes me very accessible. That I am, of course. I'm open to engaging with reasonable people who take the time to engage with me and reasonable/respectful requests.

You cannot be expected to know what my settings are on which networks. If I don't give you a reference point, you will likely use your own settings as context. It's not fair to you, nor it is to me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

hi everyone,
I know there have been some brief mentions of Couchsurfing on other threads but I can\'t find them now...
so here it is: I\'m an 18 yr old Aussie girl thinking of doing some travel in Europe this year in between my job as an au pair in Germany. Will couchsurfing suit my situation? Is it safe? Is it fun, or just awkward?
If anyone has had any experience Couchsurfing or knows anything about it, I\'d love to hear from you!

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)

After wondering a beautiful Czech Cesky Raj (Bohemian Paradise) national park, me and my best friend have realised we are stuck in that place. It was dark already. The closest touristic town Jicin was empty, no people around, not even a single light on the windows of the houses. I felt like I am in the ‘28 days later’ movie. The bus station was closed; the train station was empty and no trains around. Finally we managed to find a guy on the station, who didn’t speak any English, but he explained that there are no trains to Prague today. The first one will be the next morning. Moreover, he said this town has no hotels or hostels. The only option we got was to wait the last train, which goes to another city, a bit bigger than Jicin. We decided to take it anyways, everything was better than Jicin at that point. When we arrived to the other city (I completely forgot the name of it), we were happy to hear it will be one train at 2 a.m. going to Prague. It was deep night and I wanted to sleep. It was quite a big railway station, but besides us only 3 other people were there. All of them wanted to disturb me. The first guy came to us as start talking in Czech language. We understood him saying he just came out of the prison and going to Prague. We decided to disappear after talking to this guy as I didn’t want new adventures. Then there was a woman next to us, sitting on a bench, hysterically talking to her jacket, which she put on her knees... Then I somehow managed to fall asleep, but after a while I felt like someone is licking my hand. I worried to open my eyes and see what’s happening there. It was a dog. And an angry police officer aggressively asked me to sit on the bench, not lay. I did. 4 in the Morning we arrived to P
