Overview
About Me
Hey there! I'm Mostafa – an easygoing, respectful, and curious traveler originally from Egypt. I work in the humanitarian and development field, which has taken me to many interesting places and connected me with amazing people from all walks of life. I believe in the power of cultural exchange, meaningful conversations, and shared experiences.
When I’m not working or traveling, I love exploring local food scenes, going on nature hikes, and learning about history and architecture. I’m also passionate about personal development and enjoy discussing everything from world affairs to everyday life stories.
I'm here on Couchsurfing to meet open-minded people, share good vibes, and exchange perspectives. Whether it’s over a coffee, a walk around your city, or a homemade meal, I’m always up for good company and genuine connection.
Looking forward to meeting you and hearing your story!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe travel is about more than just visiting places—it's about connecting with people, exchanging cultures, and building real human experiences. Hotels can’t offer the local insight, warmth, and spontaneity that come from meeting someone who lives in the place you're exploring.
As someone who works in international development, I’ve seen how powerful kindness and hospitality can be. Couchsurfing is a beautiful way to keep that spirit alive—whether I’m hosting, surfing, or just meeting for a chat.
I’m here to meet open-minded people, share stories, learn from others, and contribute to a global community that values trust, respect, and human connection.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a pretty diverse taste when it comes to music—anything that has soul or tells a story resonates with me. I enjoy everything from classic Arabic tunes and jazz to indie rock, world music, and the occasional deep house playlist when I need to focus or unwind.
Movies? I’m a big fan of films that make you think or feel deeply. A few favorites are The Intouchables, The Pianist, Into the Wild, and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. I also enjoy thought-provoking documentaries and foreign cinema—there’s always something powerful in seeing the world through someone else’s lens.
As for books, I’m drawn to a mix of nonfiction and fiction. I enjoy biographies, books on leadership and human behavior, and novels that explore different cultures and life journeys. Some favorites include Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, and Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I’ve done was leading a humanitarian support mission during an emergency response. It was an intense and humbling experience—supporting communities under extremely difficult conditions, coordinating logistics and finance under pressure, and witnessing the resilience of people firsthand.
It reminded me why I chose this path: to be of service, even when the odds are tough. It was challenging, emotional, and incredibly rewarding—all at once. It’s an experience that will stay with me forever and continues to shape how I see the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe everyone has something unique to offer, and I love that Couchsurfing creates a space for that exchange.
Teach: I’d be happy to share insights from my work in humanitarian aid and international development, tips on challenging contexts, and maybe even a few Arabic phrases or Egyptian expressions if you're interested in the culture or language! I also enjoy mentoring and supporting others in navigating their career journeys.
Learn: I'm always eager to learn about different cultures, perspectives, ways of life, and local traditions. Whether it’s learning how to cook a traditional dish, understand a new worldview, or pick up travel tips—I’m all ears.
Share: I love meaningful conversations, shared meals, spontaneous laughter, and exchanging stories about life, travel, and the things that connect us. I'm also happy to contribute my time, energy, or a helping hand wherever needed.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share great company, engaging conversations, and a deep respect for your space and time. I’m someone who always tries to bring positive energy, help out where I can, and leave things better than I found them.
I’d be happy to cook you a traditional Egyptian meal (or at least try!), share stories from my travels and humanitarian work, and offer a glimpse into life in Egypt or the places I’ve worked around the world.
Whether it’s sharing music, experiences, laughs, or simply some quiet company, I’m always open to connecting in a way that feels natural and respectful. And of course, I’m more than happy to return the hospitality if you’re ever in my part of the world!
