About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Life's a garden; dig it!
ABOUT ME
I want to explore the world. I hope to see as much of it as I can throughout my life. I live for and love adventures in nature. I thoroughly enjoy backpacking, camping, and hiking. I hope to one day hike the Appalachian Trail in its entirety and when I accomplish that goal I would like to hike the Pacific Crest Trail.
My other love is music. I am a completely self taught acoustic guitar player. My top five would have to be - Bob Dylan, Wilco, Paul Simon, Neil Young, and M. Ward.
I am very interested in gardening and sustainable farming. One day I would like to raise and produce all of my own food and perhaps live off of the grid.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe people should live simply, so others can simply live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am heading off to graduate school in Seattle. Coming from Baltimore, MD, I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to spend my summer on the road. I will be spending 7 weeks of the summer trekking out to the Pacific Northwest. I will mainly be camping at different National Parks/Forests but there are few places where the distance between the parks is too vast for one night or day. That is where couch surfers comes in; as a way to break up travel days that are too long.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy documentaries and movies that inspire change.
I love folk, bluegrass, jazz, blues, Americana, honky tonk, and sub genres in between.
I love Bill Bryson, Margaret Attwood, Aldo Leopold, Chuck Palanuik, cookbooks and books about nature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a month backpacking through Colorado. After that experience, I learned to appreciate the simple things in life that we overlook everyday. A good example would be running water.
Teach, Learn, Share
Depending on where you live geographically, I am pretty good at identifying edible plants!
