Hello! Kia Ora🇳🇿 I'm an 18 year old girl from New Zealand. I finished my high school education in 2018 and now I'm taking a gap year in Europe. I've spent most of my time here living in the UK with relatives and have been travelling in between work. Prior to now I haven't really left NZ and to travel has been a life long aspiration. I'm excited to experience as many different places possible. To some people I can come across as quiet and reserved but once you get to know me I'm very confident, easy going and I don't take myself too seriously! I've just recently joined couch surfing so I apologize for the lack of references but I'm happy to get in contact before meeting via Facebook, Instagram or even video call😀

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm solo travelling around Europe and while I'm usually an independent person, I'll admit it's nice to have people to share the experience with so I'm looking for both hosts and 'travel buddies' to make my time more memorable.
I believe the best way to truly immerse yourself in a culture of a country is to live as a local would. Couch surfing appealed to me as there would be no better way to do so than stay with a host who knew the best of what their home has to offer.

Interests

I'm a very creative person hence my love for art, sewing, cooking... When I return home next year I plan to study toward a Bachelor of Design.
I'm not a particularly sporty person but I do enjoy exercise in the form of walking, dancing and swimming at the beach or in rivers.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - really anything, though I do enjoy songs with a good dance beat.

Books - I mostly read fantasy/dystopian novels I guess but I do like books that really make you think. I think one of my favourites was 'Life of Pi.'
At the moment I'm reading 'More than This' by Patrick Ness

Movies - I'll watch really anything but I am guilty of enjoying a good chic flick.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Left home and took a 24hr plane trip to the other side of the world at age 18😂
