I am a pretty easy-going and laid back person who relishes all that life happens to throw at me. I try to be a good citizen of the human race by being considerate and empathetic to others. My friends would likely tell you that I'm a good listener, fun-loving and willing to try anything once!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am relatively new to couchsurfing, after having tried it for the first time this summer while road-tripping in America. Although somewhat apprehensive at first it turned out to be an amazing experience, and by far my preferred lodging option (we tried hostels, motels, camping etc.). All of my CS experiences were great and unique in their own way... I would love to CS more in the future as it provides a novel way to experience a place that is so far out of the guidebooks!

Interests

Anything and everything in life can grab my attention....I love experiencing new things and will always try something once! I love things which are different and out of the ordinary and love to go off the beaten track in life...
I spend my time with friends just chilling out, visiting places...eating, drinking and just going with the flow. I believe that you can never have too many friends, and so enjoy making new ones : )

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I'm studying film at University so love a lot of movies. Some of my faves include Monster's Ball, The Shining, Carrie, Shawshank Redemption, The Kings Speech, Million Dollar Baby, The Fish Child...the list goes on...

Music: Anything and Everything! Literally..

Books: I'm also studying American Literature so a few books that I've enjoyed on my course so far are..Their Eyes Were Watching God, Native Son, The Scarlet Letter. Other books I've enjoyed include White Tiger, Never Let Me Go, Handmaid's Tale, Wuthering Heights...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I grew up in Singapore so have been lucky to see many amazing things in my lifetime so far... I was lucky to be able to travel around South East Asia from a young age and have gone snorkelling in the coral reefs in Malaysia, ridden elephants through the mountains of Thailand and carried out volunteer work in Vietnam. In recent years I have also been able to visit Europe and really enjoyed going to Venice and Oslo! The most recent amazing thing I've done is road-tripping down the East(ish) coast of America which was an awesome experience as I got to visit so many amazing places - Nashville, Philly, Charleston (WV), D.C, Boston...to name a few.
