About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find happiness in myself. Bring out happiness in others.
ABOUT ME
I'm adventurous, in the sense that my curiosity leads me to try new things. I have no problem being completely honest with my friends -- after all, trust is the key to any relationship. I am kind and respectful, regardless of how well I know you. Most of all, I love having a good time, and it doesn't take much for me to find joy in good company. Oh, and I love food. Om nom nom.
PHILOSOPHY
The key to life is taking away something positive from each and every challenge you encounter.
Be someone to somebody.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
If all goes well, I see myself accommodating other Couchsurfers in return for the kindness I hope to receive. I finally have a place of my own in Austin, so I'm certainly more apt to host now. What goes around comes around!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
This experience was not facilitated by Couchsurfing.org, but it's a couchsurfing experience nonetheless!
At the end of my semester-long stay in Madrid, Spain, my best friend and I planned a trip across Europe. He became friends with a girl in Madrid, and it turns out this girl lives in Paris, one of our Europe destinations. She was kind enough to offer her place for us to stay, pending her landlord's approval. Her landlord took it a step further and offered her design studio. We stayed there for two nights in the heart of Paris! The next morning we missed our train back to Madrid (oops!), and the next (cheap) train left the next day. We were stuck in Paris. And who came to the rescue? My friend's friend. She took us out to see the parts of the city we hadn't already seen, and she let us stay at her place that night. We were absolutely blown away by the generosity and hospitality.
Interests
I am open to everything, and I have many hobbies. In fact, I'm very much a jack of all trades. I love dancing (bboy, house, popping) and watching So You Think You Can Dance. I play basketball and football (sorry, after coming back from Europe I can't call it soccer) and practice Taekwondo. I'm also an avid gamer, and I love RTS, MOBA, and FPS games. I'm always looking for some good competition :) I also enjoy exercising and staying in shape, so if you need a jogging buddy, look no further! When I'm not doing any of the above, I like to spend time with my family, especially my 11-year-old brother.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been dancing for nearly 5 years now, and I thought I knew it all, having taken classes in hip hop and learning about other styles through TV and individual research. And then I saw a flamenco show. It was the most mesmerizing and enthralling spectacle of dance I had ever seen. The harmony between the singer, guitarist, and dancers was sheer perfection. The male dancer was particulary impressive, with a certain strength and ferociousness in his moves. He was making the music with his feet, and I could literally feel every step. I have seen many impressive dancers in my life, some of which are world-renowned, but no one left me as awestruck as the flamenco dancer.
