ABOUT ME

I believe in being happy and spreading happiness. Our race needs to learn to love. We all are doing what we can do best, given the conditions we are in and the opportunities we are presented.

Actually a friend of a pretty seasoned couchsurfer, and hence have a long association with it (>8 years now!). Meeting people, striking up an interesting conversation comes naturally - of course with the right set of people to start with. I love traveling and experiencing life as a native of the place I visit. From jamming with local tribesmen at the base of a river near Bhutan border to hiking in the wild forest hills of assam to finally reach the watchman post and look upon the other side of the mountain in complete silence. I have quietly heard the fishermen sing in Bengal and have witnessed the godfather theme live at San Marco Piazza, Venice. From sandboarding at Colorado to ice skating at San Diego, speed keeps me moving.

I like to indulge in the finer things life has to offer, I believe in pleasing all the senses. I appreciate art and have an eye for beauty, am fond of good smell, have great taste in music - love attending live concerts - Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Sphongle, ATB, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten - I have attended all their shows live. I am a foodie and an awarded reviewer of food joints. Fond of massages, and have learnt the art as well!

A crazy horse lover, and a "budding" equestrian rider, have a deep connection with horses. Nothing refreshes me like a good riding session. As much as meeting people from around the world and traveling, I like reading about different countries and cultures, their past and their present.

I like bringing smile to people, believe in spontaneous charity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe in "experiencing" places, and not just tourism. I believe in making bonds and not just meeting people. Most of the people I met through couchsurfing and traveling have added value and experience, and I believe in returning the same.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wouldn't choose one and belittle the others. There are many, and I believe I would keep doing them. If I were to still pick one, I would pick the charity I do and happiness I spread. I once celebrated my birthday with the not so fortunate children at an orphanage at a remote village. Away from all the glitter, that's one experience I would count as amazing.
