I'm currently doing an exchange semester in Shanghai and unfortunately don't have the means right now to host. Also, I'd be a terrible host/"local" as I myself am navigating (or rather stumbling) through life in this place whose language I don't speak.

I'm very happy to meet up though and learn and hear about anything really :)

I love being surrounded by like-minded people and feel fairly comfortable in my bubble..sometimes it's important and refreshing to leave it though and to meet people who are not your age, in your line of work or share a similar background
I think couchsurfing is a good way of introducing random people to each other
