About Me

Hi there! I'm Sara, a 24-year-old Brazilian nurse living in Portugal. While I like to think that I'm a kind and open-minded individual, I know that I still have a lot to learn.
I'm always looking for new experiences and opportunities to grow as a person, and I love meeting new people and exploring new cultures. 🌍

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a wanderlust-filled traveler who loves getting to know new people and cultures through couchsurfing. My bucket list of destinations to visit is longer than my budget allows, but I'm determined to see them all someday!
I'm a big fan of couchsurfing and other voluntary exchange programs because they allow for a unique and enriching travel experience.

⚠️ Just a heads up: I'm not using this platform as a dating site, so if that's your intention, we're not on the same page. But if you're down to share a good conversation and some cultural exchange, hit me up! 😊

Interests

When I'm not working, I love to stay active and enjoy the outdoors - swimming, playing rugby, and hiking are some of my favorite activities. I also recently discovered a love for aviation, that I hope to develop in the future. And, as someone who was born on an island, I have a special connection to the sea 🌊

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a music lover who can't get enough of "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" and "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". I'm also a fan of movies, especially historical ones, and I love reading classic and fiction books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved to Portugal during the COVID-19 pandemic to and I feel lucky to have had the opportunity, while being away from my loved ones, was difficult, I've grown a lot through my travels and living abroad.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you're looking to improve your cooking, language, and travel skills, I might be able to help with my passion for budget-friendly travel planning and some basic cooking knowledge. I can teach you how to make a delicious meal, say some useful Portuguese 🇧🇷🇵🇹 sentences, and help plan your next adventure.
I can't perform any medical procedures but maybe I can teach you some basic first aid 💉

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd be happy to share what I can about my culture, life experiences, love of traveling, and passion for food with others. While I may not be the best cook or board game player, I'm always willing to give it a try and have some fun.
As a guest, I try my best to be respectful and considerate of others. I'm open to language exchange and always excited to learn from and connect with new people. Let's see where our adventures take us 💫
