ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and from a young age exposed to different cultures through various outlets and thus introduced to worlds I had no idea existed but was always excited to learn about. As I grew older, the desire to travel, explore and experience those worlds also grew with me and in many ways, Couchsurfing helps me tap into that =) Don't get me wrong, i LOVE travelling and seeing things first hand but as you know work and life sometimes get in the way so when the stars align and the opportunity arises to get away, I jump on it! On a lighter note, I am a lover of anything Salsa dancing related (as my member name suggests)! I've been dancing since 2005 and have progressed into djing as well (mostly Latin music) which I love! I am a huge foodie and although do enjoy cooking, would rather go out and try new local independent restaurants. On a personal note, I would say I'm friendly, easy going but admittedly a bit of a clean freak ;) If I'm couchsurfing at your place, you can be sure I will treat it like my own, with respect and gratitude and if you're surfing mine, I would appreciate the same reciprocity =)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Kayaked and swam in one of the bioluminescent bays in Puerto Rico. A bio bay is a body of water that contains millions of micro-organisms, called “dinoflagellates”, that glow in the dark for a second when agitated. It is a rare, natural wonder that you can easily experience while visiting Puerto Rico and best seen on a dark night. It was absolutely amazing!
