Hey!!! I am Xavi from Barcelona, this small and confortable city near the Mediterranean sea. Since fenice, greek, roman... many people around the world arrived to this area so we are used and we are happy to welcome you!

I consider one of the most interesting things about travelling is to find local people and make new interactions: best way ever to discover.

I like to listen and talk; walk slowly around and learn about the city/town/country I'm visiting (but not just the touristic points). I'm more interested on the small stories and the esence of the place.

I'm starting to write my own blog just for explain my feeling when Im abroad. And this is more or less what I am...

Hola! Me llamo Xavi, soy de Barcelona, una pequeña pero acogedora ciudad del Mediterráneo. Desde que llegaron los fenicios, griegos, romanos... no ha parado de llegar gente y es un placer y orgullo que así siga siendo.

Considero que uno de mis principales intereses al viajar es conocer gente nueva. Me gusta conversar de cualquier tema. Prefiero visitar tranquilamente la ciudad e interesarme por las pequeñas historias cuotidianas.

Justo hace unos meses empezé a escribir mi propio blog, para explicar las sensaciones mientras viajo. Y mas o menos, ese soy yo...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Initially I was not confident to start to couchsurf, it was strange and I met a lot of people in hostels, even on a bus on the road. But as I find more interesting to visit a city with a link person who could give me tips and show me the real picture I decide to start, and it was a great choice! Later I became a host at home because I feel important to explain this lovely city Barcelona. I feel I'm lucky to live here and happy to show you the city.

Al principio no estaba muy convencido del invento, ya era feliz de conocer gente en hostels y en ruta de punto a punto. Pero como soy curioso y quería dejarme descubrir los barrios y lugares con consejos fuera de guía, empecé a visualizar esa fotografía mas real de la mano de gente local. Decidí pues enviar mi primer "request" y fue una gran acierto. Después me he convertido en un host encantado de enseñar Barcelona, ciudad que tanto me ha dado siempre! Afortunado de vivir aquí y contento y feliz de enseñarte la ciudad.

Music, Movies, and Books

In my spotify I have lots of different music; normaly I prefer movies with message but I like all types of cinema: classic, comedy, drama, romantic, fantastic, terror, ... (normally I need subtitles) and books, mmm normally prefer novel; my fouvurite writters for example: Orwell and García Márquez. I really fancy travel books.

Me gustan diferentes géneros musicales, andan mezclados en mi cuenta de spotify; así que soy un generalista, me encantaría saber mas de música y cine así que si dominas el campo serà excelente explorar nuevas rutas; me dejo llevar por recomendaciones.

Me gustan las películas con mensaje VOSE y que trascienden mas el concepto comercial, pero me disfruto de todo tipo de films desde los clásicos más rebuscados hasta las comedias más absurdas. En mi casa siempre hay "palomitas de maiz" (popcorn) ;)

En cuanto a lectura , me decanto por la novela y por ejemplo Orwell y García Márquez son dos de mis preferidos. Me faacina la literatura de viajes!
