I am a nature lover, looking to explore the natural world with my wife and enjoy sharing adventures with good people along the way.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Portland on the west coast of the US where I enjoyed snowboarding, basketball, hiking, mountain biking, and exploring the coasts by tidepools, snorkelling, scuba diving, and surfing. I live with my wife Johana in Ecuador where I study marine ecology and work as a translator. We just got married and are enjoying ourselves and all the good people we meet along the way!

PHILOSOPHY

I feel that life is an adventure, that each new day brings endless possibilities and that we all are capable of anything we put our hearts and minds to.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I often host people at our home in Quito and love to show others the wonders to be seen in Ecuador. Especially the natural places, the volcanos and rivers and canyons and forests.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never worked with couch surfers before, but informally have hosted many people that were referenced to my home from other friends, and really enjoy the diversity of experiences that can be shared.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like pink floyd, led zeppelin, red hot chili peppers, jack johnson, silvio rodriguez, damien rice, and a million others. I love to read, especially fantasy, novels, and books on ocean subjects.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scuba diving in the Galapagos is the coolest, scariest, most awesome thing I have ever done.
