我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm the first one of my family to even want to travel out of the States, and ever since I traveled to New Zealand when I was in high school, I've never lost the itch. I usually end up traveling alone because everyone has one excuse or another, but I'm determined to see the world! I couchsurf to meet new people, to exchange culture and sometimes just to prove that people are way nicer than society wants to think.

Also, it's cheaper. =]

Books- I just finished up the HeLa book. I used to read a lot more than I do now, but some favorites are Looking for Alaska, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Hunger Games (Gotta love that female lead, no matter how cliche), Invisible Man, and a lot of historical fiction.

Shows- House of Cards, Scandal, Orange is the New Black, Grey's Anatomy, Game of Thrones, Big Bang Theory, New Girl, and my guilty pleasure Vampire Diaries (I know I know).

Music- Writing this would take forever, but chances are we'll find something to bond over. I really enjoy 90s grunge rock, the last 20 years of country, and modern R&B/hip-hop. I also dabble in some Western African music.

I enjoy cooking if you're into Midwestern US food and want to exchange some recipes. I can share my passion for traveling and story-telling. I can teach you (albeit poorly) a variety of dance styles from Samba to modern Nigerian, Kpop, swing, and hip-hop.

I also can teach English and biochemistry. I do that last one for a living. =]
