About Me
Howdy!
Born and raised in Texas, now living in SF after moving frequently the past decade. Unfortunately still transient and cannot host at the moment, will update as soon as this changes!
I've had an adventurous life so finding it difficult to write a summary ~ here are some of my favorites about me:
• Quit my job and drove ambulances to the warfront in Ukraine 🇺🇦 then moved there and launched a startup investment fund for Ukrainian entrepreneurs
• Mentor and advise startups and founders all over the world incl. Ghana, Colombia, Ukraine, and Japan
• Love to volunteer with kids (Make A Wish) and disaster relief (search and rescue in Southeast Turkey after Feb '23 earthquakes)
• Always trying to hike and be in nature ~ my form of meditating is being outside in beautiful places
• Favorite activities include reading (always want recs), late night conversations with new or old friends, teaching myself something new (chess at the moment), going to concerts/live music shows, salsa dancing!, and everything else in between
• Friendly extrovert who can and will make friends with everyone I meet
In my work-life, I have an ambitious career in strategy and entrepreneurship. Currently work as a strategy consultant, have also launched several startups, founded a STEM education nonprofit organization and lead several other orgs anchored around the idea of improving the lives of others through technological innovation.
In my personal life, I love exploring new places and traveling "off the beaten path" to meet interesting people and learn new things constantly.
I like to think that I'm pretty funny, but I'll let others be the judge of that...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travel often, and I can't wait to meet interesting people along the way!
Music, Movies, and Books
Love all electronic music, classical symphonies, rock concerts, chill folk and everything in between.
I read extensively, so I will probably ask you about what books you recommend
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Stayed with a family on a tiny island in Indonesia and lived with them for a week; similar things in other countries ~ ask me about them!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to take my host out to dinner to help compensate for a free stay!
Dealer's choice on venue :)
I also offer my love for interesting and stimulating conversations on any topic from environmental consciousness to art history to arguing how many spots a cheetah has.
And of course any sort of house work that I can help with, would love to do - former engineer so good at fixing things.
I share the philosophy 'leave no trace' and will leave any hosts' place spotless.
