I am an Australian student travelling in America and I don't have much money. Looking to crash honestly anywhere with a roof and meet some new people. I am going to an open soccer trial at Broward College from December the 17th to the 19th, so I am looking for somewhere to stay from the 16th through to about the 24th, as I want to do some exploring of Miami while I am here. If you ever come to Australia I've got you covered if you come to Melbourne (world's most livable city 7 years running), got people for you to meet, bars to go to, great food places, I will have you sorted.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Trying to reduce my costs so I can budget to do more fun stuff while in Miami. Also I don't know anyone in Miami, and I made a really good friend off of this site. A German girl stayed on my mate's couch back in Aus, which is how I heard about the website, and she became good friends with our friendship group, which led me to believe that this is a pretty cool site. I have not used this before, so I am a bit nervous and don't know what to expect, go easy on me!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is my biggest passion equaled only with soccer, to list artists would take all day. I've got very in depth playlists on spotify, follow me @ Sam Beesley to see more. Genres I like include hip hop, indie rock and roll, rock and roll, deep house, anything funky, ambient, really a lot of stuff

Movies - Not a big fan of Hollywood action films I think I've grown out of them to be honest. Do not really like scary movies, not because I get scared easily, more because I feel there are so many horror films out there that are the same and repetitive, it's very overdone. I loved IT Follows though, that's the last good one I saw. Any film that really makes you think and is profound I like. Movies like: interstellar, memento, fight club.

T.V shows - Similar to my movie tastes. At the moment I am obsessed with Black Mirror, if you haven't seen it, stop what you're doing and watch an episode, it is unreal. Was watching the new Twin Peaks before that, and I am still working through the Office which is hilarious.

Books: I love reading, planning to be a literature teacher eventually. Favorite book include: 1984, one flew over the cuckoo's nest, infinite jest, the secret history.

I don't really understand what this section means? As in like skills I can teach others? I'm good at communicating, soccer, can show you amazing music you never knew existed. Don't really know what else, but I love learning!
