About Me
Yo ho I’m a 19 year old scamp boy with no idea what he’s doing with his life except for trekking the globe with his chums. Major faults include not talking enough, making people sad that they didn’t come up with my jokes and being far too charming and charismatic for my own good. I thought I’d tell you that now so you know just exactly what you’re getting yourself into.
Please let me sleep in your house I promise I’ll be good!!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting people whilst travelling is perhaps one of the most worthwhile and enjoyable experiences around. Plus I’m a huge couch enthusiast.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m big into my music, enjoying a wide range of genres including Jazz, Indie, Rap, Soul, Rock and more. My favourite artists are constantly changing, but right now I can’t stop listening to The Beatles, John Coltrane, Frank Ocean, LCD Soundsystem, Arctic Monkeys, Marsicians, Bedroom/Boredom, Viola Beach, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, J Cole, Saba and Jimi Hendrix. I have recently been getting more into reading, with my favourite authors currently being Shakespeare, Gombrich and Vonnegut although I aim to become far more well-read as soon as the time becomes available. Having just finished ‘A clockwork Orange’ and ‘Fahrenheit 451’ I hope to continue my crash course in literature before I begin my degree whilst travelling and would be open to recommendations! I’m also very interested in film, with my favourite titles being Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind and The Grand Budapest hotel, although there are a lot of honourable mentions (namely Birdman). Wes Anderson and Edgar Wright are among my favourite directors.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My friend and I went to Cuba when we were 16 to an all-inclusive resort. We were out drinking one night and decided to come home early yet when we got to our hotel room there was a gigantic tarantula sprawled across our door. Naturally, we stayed clear and we went to reception to ask the staff if they could assist in removing it. Of course, this was just normal for them and so they just laughed at us and told us in no uncertain terms to grow up. We weren’t prepared to do this and so we stayed at the hotel bar, met a group of people the same age from all over the world, got absolutely wasted and proceeded to run through a teaming jungle before skinny dipping in the hotel pool to round the night off. We woke up on the floor of an amazing Welsh family’s hotel room, shared breakfast with them and spent virtually the rest of the holiday with the same group. We’re still in contact to this day. So in summary, sometimes a spider on a door can be a blessing in disguise.
Teach, Learn, Share
I will be studying English and Creative Writing at university level next year and so would happily and readily attempt to pass on any useful knowledge to those learning the language. I also play guitar (although not to a brilliant standard) and know a level bit of the ol history.
