我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I want to explore the world and be immersed in the identity of different cultures-- not just to sight see, but really understand people at a real level and walk the road less traveled! (and obviously share a drink and/or story with a new friend).

I couchsurfed in Italy when I was traveling solo for 10 days and really got some crazy experiences! I hitchhiked twice and was really shown the kindness and just the humanity that we as people ofter forget in such a disconnected world. It really humbles you when you rely on other people to get around in new countries.

I love what couchsurfing has to offer because it brings back that oldschool charm of really putting yourself out there and getting to know people face to face and just learning about each other's cultures and backgrounds.

I went island hopping in the Philippines and got to explore the 'new natural world wonder' of the Puerto Princesa Palawan underground river cave.
