Hostels are great, but I've noticed that they're a place for companion travelers or strictly partly travelers. Letting yourself feel free and wild is beautiful, but I desperately desire to connect with fellow travelers and those living in countries far different than my own far above going out and partying with fellow travelers/youth. I also hope to learn how to cook foreign cuisine and share my American recipes with hosts.
