I'm a former urban policymaker from Boston, on a photography retreat/backpacking trip through South America, making the sort of images of places and people that you can't find on google.

I'm outgoing, easily baited into political conversations, and have a strong affection for the outdoors and gardens. I love to hear about other people's projects - professional, artistic, familial, or otherwise.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to couchsurfing, but have heard wonderful things about the social network aspect of the community. As someone who's more comfortable traveling off the beaten tourist path, opportunities to get to know people who live in the places I travel are important to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed over 1,300km up the Amazon and Napo rivers, from Leticia, Colombia, to Coca, Ecuador.

Taught kids how to do backflips (will not share this with your children without permission).
