About Me

Putting university on hold for a year midway through. Looking to do some spontaneous travelling around Europe when the flights are cheap!
I love cooking, about to start up a 'food cycle' project in my current home of Sheffield helping feed vulnerable people with waste food.
I sell vintage clothing on eBay out of my bedroom!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've never been a fan being 'touristy' so would love to see a city with local knowledge and experience. Will most likely be alone when I travel so would love to make some friends Couch surfing!
Making some big changes after a rocky 2nd year back at uni, running a half marathon, became vegetarian and I now try to do mornings - Couch surfing is part of bringing some adventure back and meeting some new people who can inspire new thoughts.

Interests

Cooking, vintage clothing, old 'stuff', tea (president of the UoS tea society).

Music, Movies, and Books

Love listening to random old records I find in second hand stores, particularly the jazz ones, Billy Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole.
Recently been getting into more Rap and hip hop, particularly New York based, Joey Bada$$, A$ap Rocky, Ghostface, but by no means an expert.
Grew up on indie/alternative and have been to a lot of gigs, foals, bbc, two door, drenge.
Always mean to read more but struggle! Love dystopian literature and the thoughts they provoke, read 1984, Clockwork Orange, some Atwood, Brave New World, currently part way through Catch 22 and Fahrenheit 451.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stayed a night in the Libyan Sahara dessert and fell asleep under the stars, that was pretty amazing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Love to cook for people and make a pretty good pizza! Generally respectful, polite and courteous. Love having good meaningful conversation.

Countries I’ve Visited
