Hey there, I'm Sam. I am an artist by nature and a hairstylist and makeup artist by trade. My art is mostly composed of found objects and trash. I will collect your bread ties and plastic 6 pack rings (and other things you might throw away that I can give a second life to!) I'm into running, hiking, and rollerskating, road trips and audio books, live music and long nights staring at the moon. I enjoy drag and fashion shows, karaoke and poetry nights. I'm always down for a drink: coffee, gin, beer, whatever! I am open to deep conversations and intriguing questions about life and I'm told I am a good listener. I am transgender, I use he/him pronouns and identify as a gender fluid being.

I got into couchsurfing because my friend Ashley and I drove across America, from Virginia Beach Va. To Pacifica San Francisco! I would love to travel more in the future and host too, to meet new people and possibly collaborate with other artists.

Música, películas y libros

I love experiencing live music of any genre. I enjoy rock and roll, indie, punk, blues and some pop music. Favorites at the moment: The Doors, Odetta, Jenny Lewis, Joan Armatrading, Fleetwood Mac, and Ezra Furman and the Harpoons. I like a dark twisted and/or dramatic movie and some old campy horror flicks with sick special effects!! Some of my favorites include: Julien Donkey Boy, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Young Frankenstein, There will be Blood, The City of Lost Children, and Suspiria. Real into David Lynch. Im definitely a fan of art house movies and shorts. My favorite books are Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, 1984 by George Orwell, and House of Leaves by Mark Z Danielewski. I also love everything I've managed to read from Fyodor Dostoevsky. Currently reading The Idiot.

My brother and I went to Shenandoah National Park in 2018. We got lost on the way to the park but we made it an adventure and check out little towns with flea markets and camping stores along the way.It worked out because we got to enter at the northern most entrance and ride down the blue ridge parkway to our campsite. On the day we left we woke up early to watch the sunrise and the took the blue ridge parkway all the way to the southern exit. What an incredible time.
