We are a young married couple from California, and we love to travel. Sam works in wine, Kyle is a yoga instructor, and we both teach English.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on Couchsurfing because we want to meet people from different parts of the world. When hosting, we love to share our favorite hiking trails, wineries, restaurants, and of course the fresh fruit and veggies from our garden. When travelling, meeting the locals has always made our experience way more fun and unforgettable.

Music, Movies, and Books

We like most types of music. We most often listen to rock, reggae, blues, and classical, and we dabble in playing guitar and ukulele. We love watching movies. It's hard to pin down favorites. We like comedies (including stand-up), Wes Anderson movies, all kinds. Sam reads a lot DIY books, like how to make beer and wine at home, he also likes Sci-fi and fantasy books (especially if the author has an RR in their name: JRR Tolkien, George RR Martin). Kyle like's all sorts of books, books about culture, fiction, and biographies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We helped build an ice village, on a frozen lake in northern Japan.
