About Me

I'm Sam. I like to have a laugh, explore and try new things.

I'm very friendly and I like to smile.

I also meditate and enjoy taking it easy, I do this to allow myself to really appreciate life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing.com to explore the world and meet new people.

I believe if you want to experience a place, there's no one better to help you do so than the locals!

People are life and life is people.

Music, Movies, and Books

music: anything 80s, blues & boogie, jazz, classical piano, drum and bass, a bit of bassline... you get the picture.

movies: sucker for a classic eg, Shawshank, Reservoir Dogs. Borat is top quality. Into The Wild gets my adventurous side going.

books: not a massive reader but I've read a few books on spirituality. I think books are like a one way conversation with a really interesting person. Reading some Bill Bryson at the moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done, hmmm. I feel like everything is amazing, if you approach it with the right mindset!

Perhaps moving away from home at the age of 16. I lived and worked 300 miles away from home for 2 years, that was pretty awesome now I come to think about it.

I've also built a freestyle drone and a potato cannon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a little boogie piano. I can also share my insights regarding meditation and love a good chat about life itself.

I would love to learn some of your language and about your culture, especially Traditional Buddism. I would also like to learn how to cook Thai food!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer you: respect, an interest into your life, a willingness to help out, a keen ear (I love to listen), dad jokes, a positive attitude, a little piano playing and some funny stories about my life.
