Climb, cycle, run, meet, see!
ABOUT ME
I am an energetic, happy person. Traveling, Rock Climbing, Playing in the great outdoors, and coffee are some of my passions! I am neat, well house trained, and don't mind doing dishes either :)
I just finished university, and graduated with a BS in December! Directly after graduation, I began a 10 month sojourn around the world, January 2014 to October 2014!
I started with 10 weeks cycle touring around Beautiful New Zealand with my buddy Simon. 3500km later, I can safely say it was amazing.
I followed it up with some travel on the west coast of the US. Yosemite, Joshua Tree, and a bike ride from San Francisco to San Luis Obispo.
During my cycle travels, I used couch surfing a bit, but mostly an organization called WarmShowers.org. It is very similar to CS, except just for cycle tourists. I can say that the people who hosted me in NZ as well as CA really defined my experience. I can't thank them enough for putting up a smelly, tired cyclist. You can check out my profile/reviews over there:

After CA, I spend 10 weeks in Ethiopia! I stayed with a family member who works there, mostly in the capital city of Addis Ababa, but also on several trips to the country. Not much cycling or climbing, but being in a 3rd world country again was a shocker. Again, the wonderful people I met there defined my experience.
Currently, I am making my way around Europe! Belgium, France, Germany, and Greece are on my it entreaty at the moment, but I will see where else the winds take me!
When I finish my travels in October, and begin "grown up life" in October, I hope to stay involved in the travel scene by hosting travelers and cyclists in my Austin, Texas, USA apartment! If you can't go to the world, bring the world to you.
PHILOSOPHY
YOLO (please don't take this too seriously)

Music, Movies, and Books
I have been reading quite a bit more since I started this gig, and invested in a kindle. I am now thoroughly convinced it is superior to paper. Ask me about whatever I am reading when we meet!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had the opportunity to live outside of my native US for 8 years of my childhood, in a variety of locations around Asia. This is an important part of me, and has defined a large part of my life outlook.
