Hey everyone! I'm Sam from Manchester. I have just begun a year of travelling, starting in India and am hoping to meet some amazing people along the way.

I love exploring new places and cultures as well as trying new experiences. I'm kind and easygoing and am just as ready to go for a hike or a drink at a local bar as I am to cook a meal, relax and swap stories.

I think it is great that this sort of community exists. It allows people to share experiences, ideas and learn about other people from around the world whether you are a host or a guest.

I find architecture really interesting, in particular the stories behind the buildings. I am always looking for inspiration and occasionally sketch down ideas.

I love to draw, though at home I don't draw as much as I would like to. So I plan on doing a lot while I am away.

I like to get close to nature which is why I enjoy hiking.

I really enjoy cooking and always look forward to learning new dishes.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I am a bit of a film geek as I have watched loads. My favourite films at the moment are City of God, Pulp Fiction and Inherent Vice.

I love music and listen to pretty much anything, at the moment I am listening to a fair bit of reggae, 90s hip hop, jazz, soul and electronic.

I read a lot and my current favourite books are: Kafka on the Shore - Haruki Murakami, One Hundred Years of Solitude - Gabriel Garcia Marquez and The Fall - Albert Camus.
