ABOUT ME

Sometimes I like to talk. Most of the time I prefer to listen. I'd like to learn more of the Georgian language, but I'm a lazy student sometimes.

My wife, Tekla, is from the country Georgia. She's a fun, sweet, friendly woman. She loves animals, especially cats. She is improving her English and is a much better student than me!

A recent amazing thing that I've witnessed is Georgian Easter celebration. In ways it seemed a little odd to be at the cemetery eating and toasting and drinking, but I realized that it was a celebration of life and remembering where we came from and the cycle of life, death and rebirth. It was a very beautiful experience.

I'm interested in learning about different cultures and people and trying to understand why they developed the way they did as opposed to my own culture. I enjoy finding the similarities between us and realizing how much we are the same.
