About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm really easy going and relaxed. I'm always up for a joke, often at my own expense! I just graduated from university (studied civil engineering and business). At home I like to spend my near the ocean.

I am currently traveling around for 4 months, having spent 2 months in Europe with friends (Istanbul, Italy, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Croatia, Montenegro, Budapest (and Sziget festival)) and 2 months in the USA (New York, Washington DC, San Fran, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite) and now spending my last month working my way from Vancouver to LA where I fly home in early November to find a job and top up the bank account!

PHILOSOPHY

In my life, I try to live it to both have fun myself, and hopefully enhance the lives of people around me as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Basically my participation in couch surfing is to meet cool new people from around the world and show/be shown what it is really like to live in a city.

I have never been able to host (still live in the family home). However hope to host in 2015 when I have my own place.

I have spend time with other surfers hosted by my friends when at home, as well as grabbing a coffee with couchsurfers while I have been traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have spent time with the surfers hosted by my friends and have really enjoyed hanging out with people from all over the world, and showing them around my home town.

I have only used couchsurfing once traveling, meeting up with a girl, Mira, in Helsinki who was great and showed us some really interesting places we would have otherwise missed.

Interests

The ocean; boating, fishing, bodyboarding, spearfishing, hanging out at the beach etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite genres of music are alternative, rock, funk, jazz, electro, dubstep and french house.

I enjoy most films.

As for books I enjoy biographies and thrillers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Iceland I met a half American half french student at the hostel I was staying in. Over drinks we decided to rent a car the next day and explore. The next morning we recruited an Argentinian and a Frenchman and we set off to find a car rental agency. We got a car and set off, seeing the beautiful country side, geysers, volcanos, waterfalls, glaciers. And we even drove 50km along a dirt road that was being closed the next week to become a rally course!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about fishing and camping.

I also know a lot about bikes having built my own, I can even 'true' (straighten) wheels; even owning all the tools.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
