ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Sam, and I'm 20 years old. I'm an American citizen, but I've spent my whole life abroad in Japan. I've developed strong ties to both countries, which has lead me to explore as much as I can--local or global.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was prompted to join couchsurfing by a friend and classmate who was working with me at Shadowcliff Lodge, a hostel outside of Rocky Mountain National Park. He's an avid biker, and had been using couchsurfing consistently to find lodging across the U.S. HIs rave reviews of the hospitality of the couchsurfing community was what initially prompted me to join.

As I've become acquainted with my summer position as a lodge/hostel employee in the Mountains, I've realized how impressed I've been by some of the travellers who have passed through. I've met people from across the globe, who are simply looking to see and experience new things, and have fun. It's a lifestyle I admire greatly, and I hope that couchsurfing will allow me to hear new stories and extend a hospitable hand, as I hope that I would meet others that would do the same.
