I'm a student of Philosophy at the University of Kansas. I grew up in a rural Kansas town but have traveled a good deal around the United States. This experience has ignited a deeper interest in global travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy roots-rock country/blues music the most, which includes the Rolling Stones "Beggar's Banquet" album, a small country artist named Ryan Bingham, some Bruce Springsteen, the like. However, I listen to a wide variety of music, new avenues include Miles Davis (enjoyed the Kind of Blue album a few year ago, now am delving into Bitches Brew) and some classical, at which I am still a rookie.

Films are a primary interest of mine. I like the works of Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, Martin Scorsese, Paul Thomas Anderson, Darren Aronofsky, and Christopher Nolan. I watch many foreign films also, and I don't have a particularly favorite genre.

As far as books go, I like the works of Hemingway, Salinger, and Rand, among many others. I also enjoy reading non-fiction, and like to keep up with current affairs.
