Hello fellow couchsurfers! My name is Samantha, and I'm excited to get to know you all. I grew up in Nebraska, lived in Colorado for 4 years, and am now living in northern California. I'm doing a community health program through AmeriCorp (a service centered organization) in rural North/Central California.. and loving every second of it. I'm going to school (online) at Colorado State University and studying Cultural Anthropology and Psychology with minors in Biomedical Sciences and International Development. I love visiting new places and experiencing new people and activities, which is why I'm excited to be joining the couchsurfing culture. My college friend and I will be traveling through Europe beginning the end of August for about a year, so I want to open up my home until then to give back to the community as they'll be giving to me! I love walking through towns, hiking, rock climbing, biking, kayaking, reading wonderful books, learning new things, drinking good beer, talking about the world and all that encompasses.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

See above.. but to recap.. I'll be traveling throughout Europe beginning in August and will hopefully be able to stay with locals for portions of my adventure. I'm opening up my home before then, so I can get a better feel for couchsurfing and meet new, exciting people.
