About Me
Hi everyone;) I am Sam. I am 22 and a fresh graduate this year with a Bachelor degree of English Language Studies. I just finished my working holiday in New Zealand and am working in a local secondary school as a teaching assistant at the moment. I like making new friends who enrich my life and make it amazing. I can learn different things or culture from them too. Traveling is so much fun to explore new things that I have never come across. I enjoy every unexpected journey! By the way I am a ovo-vegetarian, but no worries I still have plenty of recommendations for the meat-lovers.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I went to New Zealand for my working holiday 4 months ago just by myself. I was very lucky to be hosted by various people both the local or the others who live there for quite a long time. It was awesome that they are all really nice and helpful to show me around the country and so I would like to do the same in my hometown. Though I couldn't offer the accommodation for my small flat I am very willing to take you out to explore the vibrant Hong Kong!
Interests
Traveling is my first choice definitely! Besides, I like hiking. Believe it or not there are so many to see in Hong Kong when you walk up the hills! It is fantastic. I like different kinds of sports too such as biking, badminton and so forth. I like eating food from other countries though I am very weight-conscious;p

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't have particular preference for any specific types of music, as long as the melodies are nice. I have some favorite singers though who are Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith. The Lord of the Ring and the Hobbit trilogy are my favorite! And I'm so lucky that I could work at the Hobbiton when I was doing my working holiday in New Zealand! Fiction books are my cup of tea.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My working holiday in New Zealand is the most amazing thing I have ever done in my life so far! Going alone was not a big deal as I could have more freedom and learn to be more independent. I am so glad I have met so many awesome friends there from different countries and they all made my journey so memorable.
Teach, Learn, Share
Cantonese is my mother tongue so I am very willing and happy to teach you if you would like to learn, just like what I did in New Zealand. I am also fluent in Mandarin so we can discuss it together. I can share my knowledge about Hong Kong with you, both the good and bad sides:p
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer being a really good friend and roomie. I am sorry for not being able to offer any rooms thought I can still show you all around Hong Kong and try my best to answer you any questions about my hometown. Just feel free to tell me what you wanna do and I will do my best to arrange for you. Meeting local people is one of the best ways to have a deeper understanding of a place or explore one's culture so I am happy to introduce you to my friends here if you like.
