I’m Sam and my main fulfillment is running a private swim lesson company and getting to build community through swimming. I also love investing in my team and growing together! Additionally, I do some ops consulting/mentorship. I’m a volunteer puppy raiser for Canine Companions, raising Vicky to be a rad lil service pup. In addition to being a fish, I love biking and also teach spin at a few gyms.

There’s a quote by Nelson Mandela that accurately reflects my thoughts on language learning, “If you speak to a man in a language he understands, it goes to his head, but if you speak to a man in his language, it goes to his heart.” I think the same idea applies to culture and staying with locals gives you so much better of an experience than the touristy resorts and adventures. It is loads more genuine and down to earth of a travel in my opinion.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love alternative or Indie music! Love Coldplay and a ton of smaller bands no one has ever heard of! Living in Austin means live music all of the time, and I love the atmosphere here SO much!
My favorite movies are of course romantic comedies so I can cry about how I haven’t found the love of my life yet- lol. I also love comedies in general because I absolutely love laughing:)
Book wise, I’m more of a nonfiction person. My favorite childhood author was Lemony Snicket, but now my favorite author is Jon Krakauer and his brilliant exposés on so many unique topics!
