About Me

Hi! My name is Sam but some of my friends call me blu. I have been traveling in Europe and Mexico since mid March 2019. While I would love to continue traveling, I have decided to buckle down and work on my goal of writing for a living. I would like to combine my surgical/healthcare experience with my passion for writing to empower people to take control of their own health in a holistic manner.

I love sharing knowledge, experiences, and laughter with good company. I would value an opportunity to meet like-minded people who share my passion for knowledge, expansion of the mind, and interesting humans. Also, I’m really easy going and typically travel with everything I need.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am in the process of finding a place to call home where I will settle down for a year or so before traveling again.

Interests

As I mentioned, I enjoy art galleries (especially from local artists wherever I am traveling). I really enjoy small concert venues/bars with live music. I love reading and writing (nonfiction, for both). I really enjoy kundalini yoga. Last, but not least, I enjoy rock climbing. I’m a beginner, but I can belay advanced people while they climb. I enjoy learning and being a part of the process.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I completed two cross country pilgrimages in 2019.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share stories from around the world, help in the kitchen (still a beginner, but a good helper), good vibes, laughter, beer, fun, etc. The list goes on. I am down for a good (cheap) night out as much as I am a nice home-made dinner and playing card games (I can teach you how to play Cambio, it’s so fun). I can be social or completely self-sufficient, depending on how social we both feel. As I said, I’m really easy going, just need a place to put my head.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I‘m happy to provide cooking and cleaning. I deeply enjoy philosophizing with people from different backgrounds. I am especially interested in past lives and reincarnation. I love all mediums of art, but I am particularly drawn to abstract genres. Also, I can help heal and cleanse a home, as long as my energy is up for the task (I always carry white sage, crystals, and palo santo when I travel).
