Overview
About Me
Born and raised in Ohio, left for the wild adventures the Coast Guard Academy would bring and later leaving and finishing my undergraduate work at the University of South Carolina. After all that I decided to join the Peace Corps and discover all the adventures that could offer while learning a new culture and helping a community.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Serving in the Peace Corps showed me that the best way to discover a new place is with the locals- what's a better way to make new friends and learn about their home than with them!
Interests
Being outdoors, whether it's napping in the shade or a long hike, I love it all! Swimming, doing artsy things, and yoga. I love learning to cook different foods-especially when it turns out well!

Music, Movies, and Books
Country and pop music are my guilty pleasures, but I enjoy listening to all music! Any movies that tickles my funny bone are always a good time, but I really enjoy settling into an action packed movie like Gladiator. Non fiction and history books are a new passion and am always looking for new suggestions!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived in a tiny African village for two years. Washing my clothes by hand. Fetching my own water everyday. If you don't believe it's amazing I challenge you to try it!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can't wait to learn about the countries I'll be visiting while always sharing my American culture with my hosts! It's a great opportunity for cultural exchange!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to share a great ideas and conversations with my host over some home cooked food!
