Hey there! My name is Sam (my friends call me Jet), and I’m a freelance writer that loves to travel. I try to move around 3-4 months out of the year, and sometimes I do Workaway volunteering so I can travel longer. So far, I’ve had volunteering experiences at a yoga retreat in Portugal, a lodge on a Norwegian island, and a castle in France. Each of those was an amazing experience and it made me love to travel even more.

I try to see as much of the world as I can, and I especially like to meet people on the road and experience a place firsthand. I’ve been lucky enough to meet people in hostels and throughout my travels that have hosted me in their home countries and I’ve done the same. I hope to continue that throughout my adventures. I’m a good conversationalist, very respectful, and can be an avid talker or an avid listener, depending on the situation! Ideally with a drink or two ;)

Reading and writing are my main passions, which is why I do the work I do. Traveling, OF COURSE

I love listening to all types of music and am open-minded when it comes to listening to genres I don’t often listen to, and in languages I don’t speak. I also do a weird thing where I listen to movie scores

Took salsa classes in Colombia (my instructor so graciously forced me and my dance partner to compete against another couple - in front of the other students and locals watching through the windows - not cool!)
