Hi! My name is Samantha Fairlie, you can call me Samm for short. Originally from a small town in New Jersey I recently moved to Tampa, Florida to go to school at the University of Tampa where I currently attend. I am 23 and wish to someday work for a event planning company. Traveling and volunteering are two things I am very passionate about. I am a open book and will tell you anything you are interested in knowing, just ask!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

-November 2nd, 2011 is a day i'll remember forever. It is the day I heard motivational speaker Alexis Jones from the hit reality TV show "Survivor" spoke at a leadership conference I went to. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen/heard, I can not even put into words how inspiring she was. She made me want to get up and seize my opportunities and chase after what I want out of life.

-April 12th, 2012, I went to the Rizzeria Salon (School for Hair/Beauty) to donate my hair. I had it cut off 10 inches for the Locks of Love Foundation. After the process, the whole school was talking about how "a girl donated her hair" (me), and suddenly when I was almost done my haircut a salon student came over to me in tears, she said: I am so grateful you have donated your hair, i just got over having a brain tumor, and it means the world to me that you would do such a kind-hearted thing. Long story short, she JUST started growing her hair back because she just got over from having a brain tumor. AMAZING. I felt like I saved the world that day.

People grab my attention. It may sound unusual, but true interaction with people engages me. So that is why I love hearing people's story of where they came from, how they got there, and what struggles they overcame to make it.
