About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living a compassionate life
ABOUT ME
My friends describe me as a happy and vibrant person. Most of the time I tend to talk about food. Which is my passion. Culinary history, cooking, eating, (vegetarian) food culture - the whole spectrum! Furthermore I'm curious about people, peoples customs and culture. So travel would be my second passion. One a more basic level, it is important for me to make other people comfortable, I love to nurture.
Further keynotes: thrifting, vintage, reading, dogg-lover and open minded.
PHILOSOPHY
I keep it simple with my life philosophy: Progress over perfection.
This, together with being compassionate, that's what matters.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I was sixteen I started to do voluntary work for a 'sisterschool project'in Mozambique. Our object was enhancing educational circumstances by raising funds for tables, computers etc. This started an ongoing interest in volunteering; I've put my energy in different fields of interest: student participation in the educational system, helping out in animal shelters and providing for the elderly.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Thusfar just hosting with husband Joep.
