CURRENT MISSION

I've always lived in Australia it's time for a change. I have my working visas for the UK and Canada and so I'm off for a bit of an adventure! I'm half excited, half scared (depending on which day it is!) and keen to experience everything I can.

ABOUT ME

The short version is that I'm a 31 year old Australian.

The long version:
I'm a big kid at heart (show me a maze, theme park, sparklers, bubbles... and I'll be one happy girl!). I love watching sunsets, blowing bubbles, drinking wine, picnics in the sunshine, seeing live bands (not cover bands!), theatre (from amateur to professionals, dramas to musicals), arthouse and indie films, outdoor anything in summer - concerts, movies and rooftop bars, food - mainly vegetarian but I'll try anything, the spicier the better, coffee, yoga...

Sadly I'm allergic to cats so please let me know if you have a cat :).

I want to experience as much as life has to offer that I can and try things that scare me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this stage I'm looking to couchsurf or even just meet up with people for a coffee/drink etc. When I get back from my travels I'll look into hosting!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed a couple of times, but have mainly gone along to CS events or have met up with fellow CSers along my travels.
Overall it's been an amazing way to make friends in new places :).

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

I have read the Harry Potter books too many times to count, but have also been discovering the classics (Pride and Prejudice etc). My film choices are foreign, arthouse and independent. Even better when this is combined with an outdoor cinema! My music taste is JJJ in Australia - all about the folk/rock/pop genres and I love discovering new bands.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On a holiday with a girlfriend I met a guy from Brazil that I knew for two days, that invited me to meet up with him two weeks later in India and China to join him on the next section of his travels and we fell in love. While in the end the distance was too much, I had the most amazing experience and got to visit a lot of countries that I never thought I would.

I've developed excellent knowledge on the best bars, events and things to do in Perth, Australia. Happy to share if anyone is heading that way!

My professional knowledge is in the area of tourism marketing, social media, websites etc. If you have a website or Facebook page I'm happy to review it for you and give you some tips.
